Terrence Wintersmith: A Walk In The Woods

Terrence Wintersmith plays piano and synthesizer on this pastoral mix and match album including Carina Bruwer/fl, Zakhar Valahar/vi, Jeff Coffin/ss Gergo Bille/tp-fh, Larry Salzman/per and Chester Thompson/dr. He even sits out on the relaxed trio of guitar, bass and drums on the relaxed “I’m Always Dreaming,” with the mood continuing on the pastoral title track with flute, horn and violin and the addition of bluesy gospel voices by Patricia Lee and David E Greene on “Jumping and Jivin”. Jessica Jeza Vauter sings in French with Chris Whites soprano on the reclining “A Vida Que Eu Sonhei” and Tidwell’s horn is reminiscent of Chuck Mangione on the polished “Ridgetop”. Watercolors.
