Matt DeMerritt – Fool’s Journey

Matt DeMerritt CD Cover

O’s Notes: Matt is basically a one-man-band playing tenor, alto & bari saxes, flute, keyboards, percussion and melodica. He does invite a few fellow musicians for support namely Sam Barsh (p), Kevin Rastagar (b) along with a few drummers and several others. DeMerritt composed 8 of eleven selections on Fool’s Journey. We liked the blues of “Elixir”, the cool swing of “Limbo” and the warm cover of “A House Is Not A Home” in a set with a lot of surprises.

Since 1988 Kari-On Productions has helped artists get an even footing in the industry through jazz promotion in the genres of Jazz, World & Latin Jazz through Jazz Radio and Publicity. Why do we do both, because they compliment each other, and we care about fiscal longevity for the artist.
