Los Angeles bassist/composer/arranger Igor Kogan is well known around the globe for his sophisticated musicianship. Born in Russia, he immigrated to Israel, then to New York City to earn his BF in Jazz Performance and Composition from the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. Now he lives in Los Angles were he works as a bass player, composer and arranger for all musical venues in addition to leading his own Jazz Quintet and his Contemporary Jazz Orchestra.
In this recording Igor performs his own compositions with his jazz quintet – songs that reflect his living experiences in the big cities of Russia, Israel and the US.
