Lois Bruno, And So It Begins

O’s Notes: This is the debut recording for vocalist Lois Bruno, a seasoned performer who has played the unheralded supporting role to many others. Bruno’s voice is magical and works on everything she touches from the sassy arrangement of “Love For Sale” to “But Beautiful” and “Feeling Good”. The supporting quartet is tight with Michael Eckroth (p), Yoshi’s Waki (b), Brian Fisher (d) and producer Kenny Shankar (sax). There are rich solos from Shankar and Eckroth on numerous occasions. But this is about the headliner Bruno, And So It Begins and we hope it continues!
